First off, I’d like to thank everyone who decided to waste a few moments by coming here to check things out. I’m going to assume that the audience for this is going to be pretty limited - namely people I know - but maybe that will expand over time. We’ll see what happens I guess.

Right now, there’s not an awful lot to see. I’ve had limited time to get things working, so most of that time was spent cobbling together the framework rather than putting together any actual content. For now, it’s limited to a single gallery and an ‘About’ page. This should improve quite a lot over the next couple of weeks as I add in updates.

As most of you know, I head out tomorrow for my first trip backed by a blog. I’ve set things up so that I can write commentary to it in mostly real-time from my phone, notebook, talking newt, or whatever else will gain me access to the net. This presents a unique opportunity for me because I usually have to bottle up whatever it is that is irritating me at the moment, and now I can share it with you, the reader, almost immediately. Technology is a wonderful thing.

The trip that I’m taking starts at 8am tomorrow from glorious ultra-modern Boston Logan airport, connects through Chicago, and then I’m subjected to the joy of a long-haul flight to Hong Kong. I’ll stay there for a week, then head down to Sydney for a few days, followed by a day or two in Melbourne and a couple days in Perth. The, back to Sydney for a day and home via Los Angeles. So, basically, an assload of miles. Or, for you non Imperial types (assload * 1.609344)km.

So, look for an update once I get to Hong Kong and I’m nice and jetlagged.
