Sydney
It’s such a relief to my senses to be somewhere that doesn’t have neon signs everywhere….it’s hard to describe how quiet Sydney seems in comparison to Hong Kong. Mind you, I only just arrived, but the taxi ride from the airport didn’t scare me even once, and I have yet to smell anything revolting. It’s weird.
The flight from Hong Kong to Sydney was pretty good - I have to give a big thumbs up to Qantas as an airline. Their business class seats are like little pods with seats that fold nearly flat, so it’s very comfortable. They also have a very impressive video on demand service that helped the 9.5 hours go by a little faster. Decent food, good service…makes me want to rethink using an American carrier for the flight home in a week.
I’ve also lost another 3 hours, so now I’m +15 hours from home. Speaking of which, I should probably head to bed because I need to get up pretty early. Hopefully more of interest tomorrow once I’m rested and getting a feel for the city.
