		<description>Jake -

First off, many thanks for posting a response, though I have to admit I'm a bit shocked that you found such a small blog.

I think the thing I find most intriguing about your story is that, at least from my experience, Japan is a fairly closed society to outsiders. The fact that you were able to gain a deep understanding of what may be the most closed aspect of that society is impressive indeed. I am, however, sorry to hear of some of the problems you've been facing as a result. That can't be an easy thing to deal with.

I'm looking forward to your book, though I've not been able to find a preorder date from the usual suspects (Amazon, etc). If it's written in the same style as the article, it should be a great read.

Thanks again.

<description>I think your moral is pretty correct. If you keep sticking your fingers in the lion cage, they'll get biten eventually. Well, I can say in my defense that when I started working on the story in 2005, I thought it was a simple case of a yakuza using a fake passport to get into the United States. Obviously, it was more than that.
I liked your take on the story. Thanks for posting it.
